The star has donated the entirety of his £25k honor winnings to the Music Venues Trust, which operates to protect the UK's grassroots live music spots.
The star was presented with the cheque on October 16 as his new release the album was declared the top album of the last 12 months.
Fender has chosen to hand the money over to the trust, in appreciation of the vital role small stages played in his beginning days.
"I couldn't be pursuing my current career if it wasn't for all the shows I did around the region, and beyond, when I was just getting going," stated Sam Fender. "These spaces are iconic, but they are in difficulty."
Beginning in 2023, at least 150 of these venues have shut down – approximately one-sixth of the total UK scene.
In the last year, well-known musicians like the band Pulp, Coldplay, the singer Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all backed the Music Venues Trust in its attempts to help venues survive, by including a minor surcharge to their ticket prices, which supports smaller concert halls.
Fender also participated, collecting more than £100,000 on his live tour to help thirty-eight grassroots venues across England, Scotland, and Wales.
The money helped spaces that were dealing with possible closure due to challenges arising from floods, fire incidents and personal losses, as well as permit problems, court cases and noise complaints.
Additional spaces received financial assistance in upgrading amenities and sound and lighting systems that positively impacted artists and audiences.
"The notion that revenue from shows in large arenas backs the local stages, where it all starts for musicians like me, is just logical," the star has said.
The musician is not the first artist to contribute his honor prize money to good deeds.
When they received the prize in 1996 for their release their work, vocalist the singer declared that the band would contribute their prize money to the organization War Child.
In 2002, rapper and singer the artist divided her award across multiple good causes, including the NSPCC and a Sickle Cell organization.
"And I donated a thousand pounds to Highgate Newtown, to their classes, because I did gymnastics when I was a child and they required new equipment," Ms Dynamite shared with a publication.
Previously, the band donated their prize money to the community center that nurtured their band, in addition to other independent music bodies.
Also winners that year M People donated their prize to a multiple sclerosis charity after a acquaintance was identified with the condition.
"Receiving the award was sufficient," said singer Small. "The money was the cherry on top but we didn't need the cherry, because we had the honor. So our success impacted the lives of others."
Last week, the trust announced it had saved several grassroots venues in south-east England, by transferring them to local control.
One venue in that area and the second in the city were acquired under the Own Our Venues program, which is backed by Arts Council England and enthusiasts who acquire "shares" in the buildings.
