Football Expert Sutton Battles Singer Murs in Top Flight Predictions
The Gunners' ten-match victorious run was ended by Sunderland before the global hiatus, but can the Premier League frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."
The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against AI, fans and a range of special visitors.
In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
The singer's new album, Knees Up, is out on the weekend.
Soccer and Parenting Experiences
Murs is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of several Soccer Aid games down the years - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a player.
"{I recently played in a charity game the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!
"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."
The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.
"I will not force football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday soccer side," he said.
"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a while too.
"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our team for several years and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Premier League Forecasts
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from injury but their attack is now stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.
I still think this fixture will be quite tight, however. The Clarets are well organised and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.
It suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
Olly's prediction: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their past two games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.
On the other hand, the Hammers secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look strong again.
West Ham's sole on the road win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno was previously that team's manager.
Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can West Ham extending their streak under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?
I will choose Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Villa was a blip.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under Nuno. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign started, but they have surprised a several people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four games.
A family member told me to get Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.
The forward will probably score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.
They have not had great success on the road this term, and the Seagulls are consistently decent at home. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's side carry much more of a threat.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
Olly's view: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually proves to be quite tight. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a huge game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six games.
They have got plenty of quality in their team but it still seems like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.
Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.
The away side's performance in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.
The logical choice to do to back the visitors here, because they are obviously able of roughing Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the close of October.
But I am not going to do that. Rather, I truly need to carry on going against the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they evidently love to defy my predictions.
Considering Fulham's home record, the sole team they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be extremely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
Olly's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a poor run... but they have still been decent at home this season. 2-0
The algorithm's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a tough fixture to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but could they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
